The New Mexico NSAI Chapter has a monthly workshop at the
Community Room at the Erna Ferguson Public Library
San Mateo NE , Just North of Camanche

Nashville Songwriters Association International is a world wide association of songwriters. Song genres range from Country to Christian, Gospel, Rock, Pop, Folk, you name it. The meeting is organized into two sections: The first half of the meeting, we will have a class songwriting lesson. More often than not, there will be assignments for the next month that we will go over during the meeting.

The second half of the meeting is set asside to do group critiques. Each person will get one song heard and critqued. Please bring an instrument to perform it live, or bring a recording. Non-members are invited to attend as guests for two meetings before membership is a requirement.

We have a program we've started called "Swinging Co-Writers" where members get the chance to co-write with different people . After a song is completed, then you can go back into the pool and try writing with another partner. Great if you stumble upon someone who really clicks, but no obligation to continue if it doesn't.

We are also going to be holding non-NSAI writer's nights events to help raise money for our little group so we can afford to pull in some of the bigger Pros to come in to do workshops for us and house concerts. We're definitely bringing in Marc-Alan Barnette in January and Jeffrey Steele in the Spring and hopefully Big Al Anderson to boot!
